Welcome to the Terms & Conditions page of Selkirk & District Angling Association. Here you will find important information regarding River Tweed & Eye water protection orders. Also note that Selkirk District Angling Association adhere’s to a strict Catch & Release policy. No Spinning for Brown Trout or Winter Grayling. No Sunday Fishing for any of our fresh water species. 

River Tweed Protection Order

The River Tweed protection order is in place to ensure the conservation of fish stocks and the sustainable management of angling activities along the river. It sets out rules and regulations that anglers must adhere to when fishing in the River Tweed and any tributaries.

Eye Water Protection Order

The Eye Water protection order aims to protect the natural habitat of the Eye Water and its surrounding areas. It prohibits certain activities that may harm the ecosystem and wildlife, including fishing practices that endanger the local fish population. River Tweed and Eye Protection (Renewal) Order 1991 Variation order 1994 (SI 1994/2621).
