Andersons Pool - Ettrick Water

This fly line was originally a 55ft Mackenzie Spey line for a #10/11 weight rod with integrated running line. Method applied was to cut off small sections starting from the front loop and moving backwards progressively while weighing the shooting head element to achieve a grain weight of 520gr with final Shooting Head length of 30ft. At this point I then reformed a welded loop termination using heat shrink / gun set at 340 degree's. This line was then set up on my TSD 12ft 6" 8/9wt switch rod with a 10ft sink #4 tip. Works a treat! and looking forward to tagging a salmon at Andersons Pool later in the season👍🎣🐟
